LIFEgroups are TerraNova’s groups of 8-16 people who get together to learn about the Bible, grow, and enjoy each other. They are SMALL groups that have a BIG impact. And here’s why:

 We weren’t made to do life in isolation. God created us to be connected to one another, loving and being loved, caring and being cared for, knowing and being known. Authentic spiritual growth is always relational.

 Summer LIFEgroups normally begin in June and last for four sessions (in most cases). So, it’s a short-term commitment! While we offer a variety of groups, each will be the same in that they will be based on connecting, studying the scriptures, and praying for one another.

 This summer, many of our groups will be walking through a study called Citizens of Heaven, based on the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Philippi (which will also be our summer message series!).

 In this letter, Paul writes about joy, unity, and living with purpose, even in the midst of hardship. Together, we will explore what it means to live as citizens of heaven here and now, marked by a growing commitment to service to God and to one another, a deeper joy, and a steady hope rooted in Christ.

 In addition to the small group discussion, group members will extend their learnings into the week with a five-day devotional guide, produced fresh every week!

Type: Prayer Group (open to everyone)
Leader: Kevin & Amy Kasper
Time: Sunday, 8:15-8:45 AM
Where: The Hub / 7 Whatney (Bake Pkwy and Rockfield) in the Upper Room
Topic: We believe that small gatherings precede big breakthroughs! This prayer group is a small and simple place to seek God on behalf of the TerraNova community, lifting up needs and asking God for His guidance and blessing. Come join us in prayer.

Type: Women
Leader: Jackie Jordan
Time: 4th Sunday of the month, June – September 1:00-3:00 PM
Where: Different Homes (TBD)
Topic: Accountability Connection. A women’s accountability group that will focus on fostering trust through vulnerability and mutual encouragement in spiritual growth. We will meet in groups of two to three connecting, sharing and praying. Children are welcome to swim or play games during the meeting.

Topic: Citizens of Heaven. Come join us for breakfast out on the patio as we build new friendships and explore God’s word.

Type: Inspire AM Women’s Study

Time: Tuesday, 9:30-11:00 AM
Where: The Hub / 7 Whatney (Bake Pkwy and Rockfield)
Topic: Living Water: The Power of the Holy Spirit in Your Life. God has the power to change lives through His Holy Spirit and this book was written to give people a true understanding of how the Holy Spirit works. Topics include: the many gifts of the Spirit, His involvement in the lives of believers, and His purpose for the church.
Details: Childcare available: $20 for 1st child, $15 for each additional child (scholarships available).

Type: Inspire Women’s Bible Study PM
Leader: Amanda Anderson
Time: Tuesday, 6:30-8:15 PM
Where: The Hub / 7 Whatney (Bake Pkwy and Rockfield)
Topic: All My Friends Have Issues. A liberating guide to finding and becoming the best kind of friend. With a conversational and often hilarious voice, Amanda shares her own experience, Biblical truth and practical advice from trusted therapeutic models. We all know that we need community to thrive. This book teaches individuals the skills to maintain authentic connection, be encouraged and offer accountability within our “tribes.”

Time: Tuesday, 6:30-8:00 PM
Where: The Hub / 7 Whatney (Bake & Rockfield)
Topic: A potluck dinner at every group meeting! We’ll also be discussing and applying the Citizens of Heaven group study, and digging deeper into the context of “The Letter to the Philippians” Great food, great conversation, and great learning!

Type: Young Adults (College and Post-College)
Leader: Mike and Lorie Taylor
Time: Tuesday, 6:30-8:30 PM
Where: The Hub / 7 Whatney (Bake Pkwy and Rockfield)
Topic: Join us as we dive into the Scriptures while discussing faith, family, and relationships, and what it means to follow Jesus in our current culture and community.

WEDNESDAY

Type: Perspire- Women’s Walk and Study (outside/active)
Leader: Diane Hall & Courtney Lee
Time: Wednesday, 9:00-11:00 AM
Where: Bagels and Brew Lake Forest (Lake Forest and Serrano)
Topic: We will be delving into the church-wide study on Philippians, Citizens of Heaven.
Details: The group will meet 4 times, and features one hour of exercise and one hour of study and connection. (Childcare not available)

Type: Sunset Dinner and Games (Open to everybody!)
Leader: Hajdukovic Family
Time: Wednesday, 5:30-8:00 PM
Where: Portola Hills
Topic: Bring the family and join us for a Wednesday night dinner potluck dinner and games (cornhole, football, soccer, wiffle ball). We will be delving into the church-wide study on Philippians, Citizens of Heaven.
Details: The group will meet 4 times in July, beginning July 8.

Type: Mountain Bike Group (men and women, outside/active)
Leader: Greg Haines & Greg Goble
Time: Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 PM
Where: Wilderness parks and trails in South Orange County Whiting Wilderness Park (Portola Pkwy & Glenn Ranch Road)
Topic: Citizens of Heaven. We will discuss over dinner at Wahoo’s at the conclusion of our ride. Note: We park and meet up at the back parking lot 200 yards west of Wahoo’s next to the 241 toll road. Come “pedal out” the pressures of the workday as we connect and ride!

Topic: Get some exercise with friends while we discuss the church-wide study of Philippians, Citizens of Heaven. A great way to spend a summer evening!

Where: Different parks throughout Lake Forest/Mission Viejo
Topic:  Come out to connect with the guys and bring your kids as we hit the park, eat some donuts, pray, and have a casual conversation surrounding our summer series Citizens of Heaven on Philippians.
Details:  This group is only meeting in June

Time: Saturday, 5:00-7:00 PM
Where: Lake Forest (Trabuco and Lake Forest)
Topic: All ages are welcome, there will be discussion on Citizens of Heaven and a potluck meal is featured every time we meet.
